Bowtown Music Policy
Welcome to Bowtown Music. Our mission is to support music development through lessons, production, recording, publishing, sales and rentals for up and coming talent and for those who just wish to participate in the joy of making music.
We keep our costs at a competitive rate to make opportunities affordable for all your musical requirements. Our staff are talented and qualified for you to receive a supportive and high standard of service. Bowtown teaching staff members are required to pass a police and child welfare check. We also retain our staff by offering them a competitive wage. We are committed to providing excellence for all involved with Bowtown Music.
Music Instruction
We ask for a one time registration fee of $25 and full payment or monthly post dated cheques or visa for the entire semester. We require two weeks notice if you choose to withdraw from your lessons. We do not offer make up lessons.
Instrument Rental
Rentals are $25 per month with a $75 damage deposit. If you decide to purchase your rental instrument within three months, your monthly payments will be applied to the cost of the instrument. If you decide to purchase your rental instrument after three months, 50% of your monthly payments will be applied to the cost of the instrument.
Recording
We require a minimum of two hours for booking a recording session. We ask for an initial payment of $50 at the beginning of your recording session, which will be applied to the total cost for services rendered. Included in this service is a CD from your session. Additional services available with your recording are music accompaniment, production and custom CD labels.
Production and Publishing
We provide original music and we will help you with lyrics if you want to create a CD for your personal enjoyment or an industry standard demo showcasing your talent. All Bowtown Music contributions towards the creation of new music will be under contract specifying credits, copyright, and royalty allocation. As a publishing member of SOCAN we want to make sure your interests and ours are protected.
