line - a pathway for electronic devices, usually a line in or line out for instruments or microphones.
loop - a setting in the recording program which allows you to repeat a section of the track by assigning a start point and an end point.
loop station - originally called a jam man, a foot pedal which allows you to create, usually with a guitar or microphone, a musical or sound motif which repeats over and over. By playing over the loop you can create multiple voicing.
label - or record company, a team of support for artists including producers, radio promoters, publicists, distribution with established networks.

light gauge strings - guitar strings usually come in light, medium and heavy gauge sets. Light gauge strings or even extra light gauge especially for the first and second strings are popular for their bright, high, harmonic tones and ease of bending or stretching in playing rock and blues.
limiting - the same process as compression but to a greater degree. An audio signal can be limited to a certain volume level to ensure that the amplitude of the signal never exceeds the capacity of the medium to which the signal is being recorded. Limiting can be used to soften sounds, like a snare drum, or gun fire, on a soundtrack.
Latin - refers to all styles of music influenced by Spanish and Portuguese speaking cultures specifically Latin America and the Caribbean.
