Bowtown Music can help you create every aspect of your musical aspirations. We offer music lessons in guitar, vocals, mandolin, violin, and piano. We also provide services in pre production, composing and rehearsing through to the complete recording, mixing and mastering process. We are here to see you achieve your musical goals.
Co Founder Paula Hirson is the driving force behind Bowtown Music. Originally from Saint Louis and with a degree from York University she brings boundless energy to every project. She has been a figure in the business and social service community of Calgary for over three decades.
Kuba Suttles is a seasoned, multi instrumental musician, composer, producer and author. His career as a professional, touring, recording artist began in 1965. Music has taken him around the world. He has toured internationally and  performed on stage with some of Canada's top musicians like Valdy, Leon Bibb, Shari Ulrich and Bruce Cockburn. He has produced and recorded on many projects including two singles with Tomorrow's Eyes, two LP's with Flying Mountain, a solo CD entitled Light Of Day and Rise, with JB Knights. He is the author of Guitar One, Beginner Course. Kuba co-owns Bowtown Music where he enjoys teaching students of all ages and nurturing up and coming talent.
Bowtown Music was created to provide recording and educational opportunities for up and coming talent.

Located in Kensington next to CBC Radio Calgary our studio is just minutes from downtown and offers professional quality recording gear and service.

We also have a studio in Bowness offering music lessons for guitar, keyboards, mandolin, bass, and vocals.
Catherine Coutts was born in France and has made Calgary her home since 1981. She is an energetic multi-tasker and wearer of  many hats as an independent travel consultant and administrator with MoMo Mixed Ability Dance Theatre. We feel very lucky to have her join the team of Bowtown Music to share her organizational skills and determination to help make this company a great success.
