Calgary Music Lessons
At Bowtown Music our mission is to make music happen for you! Whether you are an up-and-coming talent or an experienced musician, our passionate instructors will provide you with a quality education in guitar, piano, violin, ukulele, vocals, drums, banjo, mandolin, audio engineering, and music theory. For anyone interested, we also provide online lessons in the comfort of your own home at the same price of our In-Studio Lessons. Our studio is located on the corner of Kensington Road and 14th Street NW at 1609c Kensington Road NW in Calgary, Alberta. We have free customer parking and a comfortable waiting room. Music Lesson Rates
Half-Hour In-Studio Music Lessons
Guitar, Piano, Vocal, Ukulele, Violin, Banjo, Drums, Mandolin.- Lessons provided in our studio located at 1609c Kensington Road Northwest Calgary.
- One-Hour lessons available at double the price ($64).
- Pay for the semester and save 10%.
- One time registration fee of $30 per family.
45 Minute In-Studio Music Lessons
Guitar, Piano, Vocal, Ukulele, Violin, Banjo, Drums, Mandolin.- Lessons provided in our studio located at 1609c Kensington Road Northwest Calgary.

- One time registration fee of $30 per family.
In-Home Music Lessons
Guitar, Piano, Vocal, Ukulele, Violin, Banjo, Drums, Mandolin.- One of our talented instructors will travel to your home, anywhere in Calgary for a private one-on-one lesson.
- In-home lessons are a minimum of one hour.
- Pay for the semester and save 10%.
- One time registration fee of $30 per family.
Couples In-Studio Music Lessons
Guitar, Piano, Vocal, Ukulele, Violin, Banjo, Drums, Mandolin.- Lessons provided in our studio located at 1609c Kensington Road Northwest Calgary.
- You and someone else can enjoy music lessons together underneath the guide of our talented teachers.
- Pay for the semester and save 10%.
- One time registration fee of $30 per family.
Bowtown Music Lesson Policy
Registration/Try-Out Lesson
There is a one-time registration fee of $30 per family. Once you have paid the registration fee, you have the option to pay for a 30-minute try out lesson with an instructor before committing to a semester payment.
Payment
We require payment for the entire semester and welcome E-Transfer. A 10% discount will be applied for semester payment in full received prior to the start of the semester. Once the semester has begun you will no longer be eligible for this discount. In-home lessons are a minimum of one hour.
Monthly Payments
For those who wish to pay for the semester through monthly installments, we require your credit card on file. An automatic withdrawal for the total cost of monthly lessons will be charged to your card on the first of every month.
Automatic Payments
There will be an administration fee of $5 for one-month payments and $10 for semester payments.
Cancellation
We require a one month notice to cancel lessons.
Schedule
Fall Semester / September – December Winter Semester / January – March Spring Semester / April – June Summer Lessons* / July – August *Summer Lessons can be paid monthly. There is no semester payment required There are no lessons on provincial holidays.
Missed Lessons
We do not offer make-up lessons or reschedule missed lessons. The fees paid are to reserve a spot on our schedule. If an instructor is not able to provide a lesson, a substitute instructor will be provided. If a substitute is not available, the instructor will schedule a make-up lesson with the student.
Drop in Card
You can purchase a drop-in card which will allow you to book within 24 hours before a lesson. There is a one-time (per family) registration fee of $30.
